Appartment transformation in Florence - Italy
In April 2025, we completed a full renovation of a 60 m² apartment in the heart of Florence, Italy. Set inside a former convent that has been converted into private homes, the space carries centuries of history — with some architectural elements dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries. Our goal was to bring this unique place into the present without losing its soul. We carefully restored key historical features while introducing a clean, contemporary design that fits modern living. The apartment was also upgraded from an energy perspective, with new high-performance windows and internal wall insulation to improve comfort and reduce energy use. Working closely with our local partners, and fully in line with Florentine heritage regulations, this project shows what Xtend does best: giving historic buildings a new life for today.
