Rameldange Farmhouse Transformation
Project details
A sensitive restoration of a traditional farmhouse complex, redefining spatial functions and restoring original proportions while integrating contemporary comfort.
The project required a precise redefinition of the building’s internal layout as well as its surrounding spaces. Interventions introduced during the 1960s had altered the original spatial logic of the farmhouse and were selectively reversed to restore clarity, balance and proportion.
The resulting ensemble consists of two buildings with distinct functions, connected by a garden that mediates between public and more intimate outdoor areas. The transformation preserves the character of the traditional farmhouse while adapting it to contemporary living standards, ensuring long-term functionality and spatial comfort.
